1. Are C.N.O products 100% natural?
Yes, absolutely. Every single product is 100% natural, handmade in small batches, and crafted without synthetic fillers, parabens, or artificial preservatives. If an ingredient doesn't serve a direct, proven purpose for your hair or skin, it doesn’t go into our formulas.
2. Are these products only for Afro-textured hair?
No! While our products were thoughtfully created with Afro-textured and curly hair in mind—drawing on rich heritage ingredients for deep moisture and growth—the plant-based ingredients (like shea butter, aloe vera, castor oil, and flaxseed) work beautifully on any hair or skin type that needs nourishment, hydration, and natural care.
3. How do I know which product is right for me?
For a complete wash day: Start with the Heritage Cleanse Black Soap Shampoo to clarify and reset, followed by Batana Bliss for deep moisture restoration.
For everyday styling & moisture: Use the Soft Life Hydrating Cream for curls and coils, and seal it in with Just Like Pearls Whipped Shea Butter or Liquid Luxury Oil.
For scalp care & growth: Massage in the Glow & Grow Tingling Coconut Oil.
4. How do you preserve your water-based products without synthetic chemicals?
We keep our formulations genuinely clean. All water-based products use Leucidal SF Complete—a natural, fermentation-derived preservative—alongside natural plant emulsifiers like Olivem 1000. No synthetic preservatives, no parabens, and no phenoxyethanol ever touch our formulas.
5. Can I use these products on my skin as well as my hair?
Many of our products are multi-use! For example, the Soft Life Hydrating Cream, Glow & Grow Oil, and Liquid Luxury Hair and Body Oil can all be used to deeply moisturize dry skin, hands, and body right after a shower. Just Like Pearls Whipped Shea Butter is also exceptional for body moisture and dry skin care.

8. Will your whipped butters or oils feel heavy or greasy on my hair?

Because our products use pure, nutrient-dense oils and unrefined butters (like shea oil and argan oil), they melt down and absorb deeply rather than just sitting on top of your strands. If you have finer hair, start with a tiny amount of the Liquid Luxury Oil or Soft Life Cream, or use our heavier butters as a pre-shampoo treatment.
9. Can I use the Smoke Away Deodorizer Spray on my clothes and car, too?
Yes! While it’s fantastic for refreshing hair, locs, bonnets, and headwraps between washes, it's formulated to be entirely fabric-safe. A light mist works wonders on scarves, jackets, upholstery, and car interiors to instantly lift and replace odors with a grounding base of frankincense and palo santo.
10. Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Because we avoid synthetic fragrances, harsh alcohols, and chemical preservatives, our products are exceptionally gentle. Many of our items feature skin-soothing ingredients like aloe vera and pure plant oils. However, since we use active, natural essential oils (like peppermint or tea tree in our scalp treatments), we always recommend doing a quick patch test if you have ultra-sensitive skin.
11. What is the best way to store my C.N.O products?
Since everything is made with 100% natural earth ingredients and gentle natural preservatives, it’s best to keep your products in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Because our whipped butters and balms are formulated to melt on contact with body heat, keeping them away from direct heat will help maintain their gorgeous, fluffy texture!
